LOCUST VALLEY - Students in Locust Valley came to school in their bathrobes and slippers Wednesday to raise money for the Wounded Warriors Foundation.

The program requires students and staff members to pay $1 for the privilege of coming to school in their pajamas. That money will be collected and put toward buying iPads for soldiers.

The student body will be holding several Wounded Warriors fundraisers throughout the year.

They have already raised $3,000 districtwide.

The PJs for iPads idea was created after double-amputee Col. Greg Gadson, from the U.S. Army, visited the middle school last November.
