The brainchild of our Operation Democracy president, Kaye Weninger, Paintings for Peace fulfills our mission for the next generation’s participation in understanding the cost of freedom and democracy. Students from our schools submit artwork expressing their understanding of this history.

Each D-Day week, Operation Democracy hosts a “tent on the square” of Sainte Mere Eglise to house new artwork by students from Locust Valley and Sainte Mere Eglise who have been asked to manifest their vision of freedom, democracy and peace.
